Top Drives Update 32.0: New Cars & RQ Changes
2025 Ford Mustang GTD

The Ford Mustang is an icon of the global car industry, with a reputation that’s been built over the course of more than six decades and multiple generations. But there has never been a Mustang as extreme as the GTD.
The Mustang GTD is to Ford what the 911 GT3 RS is to Porsche: lightweight, powerful, track-focused, and extreme in every detail. With a name inspired by the IMSA ‘GTD’ racing class, and built in collaboration with Multimatic, the company that builds Ford’s GT3 and GT4 racing cars, it’s no surprise to see the car is fitted with aggressive, active aerodynamics generating huge levels of downforce. Add to that a wider track, a lower ride height, semi-active suspension, vast Brembo brakes, magnesium wheels, an eight-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, and a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 with 815hp, and this is the road-going Mustang to end all Mustangs.
2023 Ford Transit Trail 3.5 EcoBoost

Vans aren’t the most exciting vehicles out there, moving goods from A to B with little fanfare or appreciation. The Ford Transit Trail 3.5 EcoBoost, on the other hand, is a load lugger that very few can match.
Available in different heights and lengths, the Transit Trail - as the name suggests - is a get out and get on with the job sort of machine. Launched in 2023, it had a 306hp, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which, combined with all-wheel drive, a wider track, and chunky off-road tires, made it one of the most versatile Transit vans in the nameplate’s history. Sadly, it was discontinued after two years on sale, but that makes this quirky off-road workhorse a rare and interesting beast.
2019 RAESR Tachyon Speed

A glance at the RAESR Tachyon Speed’s bodywork is enough to know you’re in for a wild ride, but read through the car’s technical stats and you’ll be left in no doubt of its potential.
Built in Los Angeles, USA, and the creation of one man’s vision, the RAESR Tachyon Speed arrived on the scene in 2019 with some almighty headline figures. Its all-electric, all-wheel drive powertrain produces 1,250hp and 3,650lb/ft of torque, enough to propel it to 60mph in 2.9 seconds and on to a top speed of more than 240mph. What’s more, its aggressive carbon-fiber bodywork features a fighter-jet inspired canopy and interior, with a one-plus-one seating arrangement that means a friend can come along for the ride.
2023 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost

As Challenger production neared its scheduled end of 2023, the team at Dodge knew it had to do something exciting to mark the passing of a muscle car hero. It settled on producing seven “Last Call” special editions, each with a specific specification and limited build numbers to celebrate all things Challenger.
Revealed to the world at the end of 2022, the sixth and penultimate Last Call special was the Challenger Black Ghost. It was named after an all-black 1970 Dodge Challenger RT SE, owned by a man called Godfrey Qualls, who powered along Detroit’s Woodward Avenue in the 1970s. He gained a reputation for pushing his 426 V8 to its limit before disappearing into the night, hence the nickname ‘Black Ghost’. The modern interpretation was suitably blacked out, but equally as important, it was fitted with an 807hp V8 engine and capable of blasting to 60mph in 3.4 seconds. Only 300 were made.
1986 Dodge Omni Shelby GLHS

The Shelby name likely conjures up visions of American muscle car heroes, silhouettes of Mustangs, Cobras and the like. But in the mid-1980s, Carroll Shelby’s eyes looked towards the Dodge Omni hatchback, specifically the ‘GLH’, or ‘Goes Like Hell’ performance version.
Shelby had already been involved with the development of the GLH, but under a new business called Shelby Automobiles, around 500 new Omni Shelby GLHS models were produced. The 2.2-litre engine was boosted from 146hp to 175hp thanks to a new intercooler which allowed 3psi more boost and a new manifold. New Koni shock absorbers were fitted as well along with better tyres, and the ride height dropped for a lower centre of gravity. It doesn’t have the same reputation as Shelby’s more extreme, V8-powered icons, but for those who know, the Dodge Omni Shelby GLHS is a hot hatch unicorn.
2022 Lincoln Model L100

Marking its centenary in 2022, Lincoln unveiled the Model L100 concept car at that year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Inspired by Lincoln’s first model under Ford ownership, the Model L, the Model L100 was suitably luxurious and jaw-dropping.
Unlike the original Model L, the Model L100 was designed as an autonomous vehicle, with an advanced aerodynamic body covering a futuristic, high-quality interior and an all-electric powertrain. Every detail was exquisite, with bold, reverse-hinged doors, a glass roof and high-quality, recycled materials used throughout the interior. There was never any hope for a full-on production version, but as a one-off, celebratory concept, this blew the socks off everyone who saw it for real at Pebble Beach.
📌 RIVALS UPDATE
Now we have the option of setting up a Rivals battle so you can choose which team you'd like to join, instead of being randomly assigned! Join early so you don’t miss out on any Rivals points! 📌 NEW AMERICAN TRACKS
We have 55 new racing challenges across six new American environments: Rosamond, Valley, Malibu, Mohave, Palmdale, and Dam. Most challenges support wet asphalt versions, too, so there are over 100 challenges to race on.
One advantage of working in a studio that exclusively makes car games is that there are opportunities to port things between games. These tracks are almost every single Rebel Racing track adapted for Top Drives. They have more off-road than we’d probably choose to design, but the upside is they were really fast to add, and they look great! Let us know your feedback on the best and worst of these challenges, and we can adjust the design or appearance of them accordingly.
📌 BUG FIXES FOR A SMOOTHER RIDE
We've adjusted the point scaling for Japan Park Drag and Japan Park G-Force to match them with other drag and G-Force tracks. Japan Park G-Force is getting a point scaling boost, while Japan Park Drag is getting a slight decrease.
Some Ocean Highway tracks were missing the “speed bump” icon in the race info panel. Now it is fixed, and tracks with speed bumps will be labeled as intended!
Previously, Redford and Morris weren’t listed in the correct alphabetical order on the Manufacturers screen. Now, all manufacturers are properly sorted and displayed alphabetically!
Fix for the issue where currency balances could sometimes get out of sync with the server.
Fix for the issue where repeating Objective tracks can remain visible longer than intended.
